Tsiouvaras Simmons Holderness performed construction management, construction observation, documentation, and preparing Contractor payments for this $11 million project in Eagle County, Colorado, which includes the placement of over 35,000 tons of SMA and HMA, and the installation of over 55,000 feet of tri beam guardrail and over 75 new end anchorages. Additionally, the project removed and replaced the bridge rail and fence on six structures, reconstructed the overhangs on both sides of one structure, rehabilitated eight bridge decks, added waterproofing membrane and overlay to six structures, and replaced the bridge joints on eight structures.

  • As the Prime Consultant, TSH provided a licensed Project Engineer, an Assistant Project Engineer, and two Inspectors
  • Subconsultant Yeh and Associates provided an additional Inspector and a Materials Tester
  • The project included repairing a badly-corroded 84-inch corrugated steel pipe with a high density polyethylene (HDPE) liner, which was grouted into place and which also included energy-dissipating fins to reduce downstream flow velocities
  • Project also included extensive traffic control in multiple simultaneous locations, which required continuous attention from the Inspection staff
