Broadway - Pine to Iris

Boulder, Colorado

Tsiouvaras Simmons Holderness designed the $14M concrete reconstruction of a 1.2-mile urban arterial traversing a large portion of north Boulder. Broadway is a vital multi-modal transportation corridor in the city and an important corridor linking various residential and commercial districts. The project included major utility infrastructure renewals including the addition of a storm sewer and water quality structures, new water line and several sanitary sewers segments, street lighting and traffic signal upgrades and significant private utility work. This project also included environmental and historic clearances, public involvement, right-of-way designation and acquisition, landscaping and urban design, and structure design at the Farmers Ditch. The design was completed in the Fall of 2008 and construction was completed in the Fall of 2010. The project was federally funded and subject to the CDOT Local Agency oversight process.
