Broadway/Euclid Improvements

TSH is the primary consultant for conceptual, preliminary, and final design to improve an intersection in Boulder that has several different modes of transportation including: pedestrians, RTD and local buses, and bicyclists. The project challenges include accommodation of each transportation facility while meeting the construction budget and the project schedule. The main component of the project is a pedestrian underpass which crosses Broadway (SH93) and requires raising the road nearly five feet. The design also includes the connection of several multi-use paths and transit stops in a very constrained urban area. TSH designed the roadway, site plan, underpass structure, pedestrian bridge, and walls, while coordinating among numerous funding partners and stakeholders including the University of Colorado at Boulder, City of Boulder, CDOT, FHWA, RTD, and Boulder Valley School District.
